The other half of my bed is empty again I can’t stop the panic but it’s all in my head Who taught you to shoplift all my self-esteem I never thought that you’d be the one to hijack my dreams Well I'm trying to be patient, trying to be kind Trying to make it work out and make up my mind 'Cause it's hard when your love is the enemy It's just my volatile chemistry And I'm tied down by my self-destructive tendencies I've seen you out around town with your new friend I keep knocking myself down and you won't let it end You’ve got me stuck in the mud and you're what I need To clear these thoughts from my head and set me free Well I tore my own heart out but I blame it on you All I've got’s a photograph but it won't do 'Cause it's hard when your love is the enemy And I'm looking for my sweet serenity But I'm tied down by my self-destructive tendencies 'Cause it's hard when your love is the enemy It's just my volatile chemistry And I'm tied down by my self-destructive tendencies

Lost Time 03:15
They call it spiritual warfare They say we’ve fallen from grace In God forsaken fanfare They forgot about the human race Well they’re sycophants for the middle man King James wrote a book that they don’t understand I’m going to live my life and have my fun Spend half my life living in the sun ‘Cause I’m making up for lost time She caused my heart’s palpitations They called her jezebel You’d think with their supplications The could tell heaven from hell Well they’re sycophants for the middle man King James wrote a book that they don’t understand I’m going to live my life and have my fun Spend half my life living in the sun ‘Cause I’m making up for lost time

Last Smile 03:56
All that I've gained living life is heartbreak and pain And I can't forget all the words, the words you've said But I just keep holdin’ on to that last smile. Yeah I just keep holdin’ on Oh to you Thinkin’ that you’ll come around for the first time But coins dancin’ in your pocket is the only sound That puts your head to rest when you sleep in bed But I keep holdin’, holdin’ on to that last smile I should have known from the start You couldn’t break the bank so you broke us apart Turnin’ your back in the window, burnin’ a hole in this four year old But I just keep holdin’ on to that last smile. Yeah I just keep holdin’ on Oh to you Thinkin’ that you’ll come around for the first time But coins dancin’ in your pocket is the only sound That puts your head to rest when you sleep in bed Yeah I keep holdin’ Yeah I keep holdin’ On to that last smile

Snow Day 04:51
It’s a snow day In a town that doesn’t get cold at all A seventy thousand dollar German car A deplorable who’s barred Cruising by Clocking in at six figures fast Tires kicking angeldust ‘Cause his trophy just won’t last Step by step you’re climbing up The ladder but nobody sees Bit by bit you’re falling off The wagon onto your knees He runs to the bathroom, he’s got to go powder his nose It’s not taking its time, but it’s taking its toll. An LL. B. moonlighting So he don’t get thrown out of court He became his own best customer An entrepreneurial sort That seventy thousand Rolled off an on ramp The day he got let go Released in three weeks The pleasure he seeks Down in a six foot hole Inch by inch you’re walking to The end of the line it seems Piece by piece you’re busting up You’re falling apart at the seams He runs to the bathroom, he’s got to go powder his nose It’s not taking its time, but it’s taking its toll. It’s not taking its time, but it’s taking its toll. You wheel and you deal And you run and you run Like a stray dog whose chasing his tail You’re making a quick buck And running on dumb luck It’s better than going to jail He runs to the bathroom, he’s got to go powder his nose It’s not taking its time, but it’s taking its toll. It’s not taking its time, but it’s taking its toll.
